Paid Social Executive Role Description
Role Overview:
As the Paid Social Executive, you will support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across paid social platforms including Meta and TikTok. This role is ideal for someone who already has 1 to 2 years of paid social experience, who is eager to contribute to client success and build expertise across platforms. You will work closely with various teams to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with client objectives and deliver measurable results. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills. Experience with lead generation paid media campaigns, landing pages, customer journeys, and conversion optimisation is highly beneficial. You will be supported in your development by the Head of Performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPaid Social Campaign Strategy
* Develop, implement, and build paid media strategies across paid social channels.
* Create and oversee end-to-end campaign workflows from planning and setup to execution and analysis.
* Ensure campaigns align with client business objectives and target audiences.
Campaign Execution
* Work on the day-to-day paid social operations, including ad account setup, targeting, bidding, and budgeting.
* Oversee creative and copy development, ensuring assets are optimised for paid media platforms.
* Regularly A/B test creative, audiences, and messaging to optimise performance.
Performance Tracking & Optimisation
* Monitor and analyse campaign performance data in real time, making adjustments to meet or exceed KPIs (CPL, CPA, ROAS, etc.).
* Utilise data insights to inform ongoing optimisations and improve campaign effectiveness.
* Compile weekly, monthly and ad hoc performance reports, providing insights and actionable recommendations for optimisation.
* Use data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and new opportunities across paid social campaigns.
Budget Management
* Manage campaign budgets with the support of the Head of Performance, ensuring spend is optimised and aligned with client goals.
* Provide accurate forecasts, monitor pacing, and adjust bids/budget to optimise for ROI and campaign objectives.
Platform Expertise
* Stay up-to-date with changes and updates across paid media platforms (e.g., algorithm changes, new ad formats, targeting capabilities).
* Implement best practices and innovations in paid media to keep the agency and clients ahead of the curve.
Collaboration & Cross-Team Coordination
* Work closely with the creative, strategy, and senior teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
* Collaborate on multi-channel campaigns, integrating paid social strategies with wider marketing initiatives such as email marketing and organic social.
Audience Targeting & Segmentation
* Develop audience segmentation strategies to ensure ads reach the most relevant users.
* Use platform targeting tools effectively, leveraging custom audiences, lookalikes, and advanced targeting techniques.
Creative Testing & Development
* Lead creative testing initiatives, advising on best-performing formats and creative strategies for different platforms.
* Analyse creative performance and collaborate with designers to optimise visuals and messaging.
* Conduct research to discover new creative opportunities and brief in new creatives to designers and video editors.
Data-Driven Decision Making
* Utilise analytics tools such as Google Analytics, in-platform metrics, and other reporting software to draw meaningful insights from campaign data.
* Leverage insights to optimise current and future campaigns.
* Conduct frequent competitor analysis to discover new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in paid social media.
* Experience in using tools such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Analytics.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
* Familiarity with briefing in content for design and working with creative teams to develop high performing assets for paid social.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and personalisation strategies.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for staying ahead of digital marketing trends.
* Eagerness to learn and develop, with a goal to grow with the agency and gradually take on more senior responsibilities over time, with the support of the senior team.
Role Details
* Location: Hybrid at our office based in central Warrington.
* Salary: £27,000 per year.
* Working Hours: Monday-Friday with flexi-time.
