We are seeking an experienced Agency Chef to join our team in Nottingham. This role is ideal for a skilled chef with a background in care homes or hospitals, capable of managing kitchen operations, maintaining high food safety standards, and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and cook meals that meet dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
2. Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient daily operations.
3. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to Food Safety Level 3 guidelines.
4. Order and manage stock to minimize waste and control costs.
5. Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
6. Adapt menus based on dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
7. Work efficiently in different environments as an agency chef, adapting to various care homes or hospital settings.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef or Head Chef in a care home or hospital.
* Food Safety Level 3 certification (essential).
* Strong knowledge of dietary requirements for vulnerable individuals.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchen environments.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* A flexible and reliable approach to work.
