About The Opportunity:
Due to our expanding portfolio and long-term local framework expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering expertise with Building Services experience to join our Birmingham based multi-disciplinary team. We are seeking someone who is looking to further develop their experience and responsibilities within the Building Services sector.
The team is involved in a variety of planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and new build projects including several multi-million-pound development schemes and framework agreements within the construction industry. These consist of multiple residential high, medium and low-rise infrastructure replacement projects, district heating upgrades as well as education sector projects including new build schools and student accommodation in both design and technical adviser roles.
We are seeking a strategic thinker who can coordinate the designs of mechanical building services projects, providing an oversight of the project performance alongside an appreciation of quality assurance and business management. You should have considerable experience working within building services engineering design within a consultancy, coupled with sound working knowledge of AutoCad & Revit MEP and thermal modelling software. There is a requirement to coordinate teams and mentor / coach more junior project members so being able to comfortably support the team whilst maintaining standards in work and efficiency is vital.
You will report to the Regional MEP Lead and be responsible for both the support of your team as well as client facing work. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate professionalism and an inquisitive approach, showing a desire to explore innovative ideas while still understanding the need for a good commercial balance.
UK and international travel may be required depending on projects and client requirements.
