We have a current opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join us on a fixed term contract for a year. The successful candidate will be assisting the registered nurses with the delivery of patient-centred care for our Inpatients on the ward.
Working with an experienced and friendly team, the role will be varied as you will undertake a wide range of routine procedures and practices under the supervision of senior staff.

About the role
* Undertake delegated clinical tasks within the ward environment.
* Assist patients with all elements of patients’ needs including personal care needs
* Accurately update patient information on IT systems
* Ensure patient care areas are effectively maintained and well stocked.
* Follow standard operating policies and procedures
Skills and experience required
* GCSEs or equivalent experience.
* NVQ Level III in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake.
* Basic Life Support training.
* Clinical skills such as phlebotomy, catheter care, ECGs, and dressing changes (or willingness to train).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, adaptable, and patient-centred approach.
* Good IT skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
