We are working in partnership with a well-regarded further education college seeking a dedicated and adaptable Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students studying GCSE and post-16 courses across a range of departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and student development, with the potential to move into a permanent role following a successful temporary period.
The Role:
* Providing in-class support to students at GCSE level and above
* Working across different departments (e.g. English, Maths, Science, vocational subjects)
* Supporting learners with additional needs, including SEN, EHCPs, or learning difficulties
* Assisting students with organisation, focus, and access to learning materials
* Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Liaising with teaching staff and support teams to monitor progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or support setting
* A patient, empathetic and professional approach
* Confidence supporting learners at GCSE level and above
* The ability to adapt to different subjects and learning environments
* An understanding of safeguarding within a further education setting
* SEN experience is desirable but not essential
