About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Research Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. This role combines hands‑on laboratory work with essential administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both scientific and office‑based environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, maintain, and organise laboratory equipment and materials
* Conduct routine experiments and accurately record results
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Manage laboratory inventory, ordering supplies as needed
* Maintain clear and organised documentation of research data
* Provide administrative support, including scheduling, reporting and data entry for the biobank and other projects
* Assist with preparing reports and research documentation
About you
* Background in a scientific discipline (e.g., biology, chemistry, or related field)
* Previous laboratory experience (preferred)
* Previous cell culture experience and molecular biology techniques (preferred but not essential)
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent attention to detail and record‑keeping abilities
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.
