Overview

A Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking enthusiastic Band 4 Assistant Practitioners or Nursing Associates to work within the Community Services across North Lincolnshire, in the Planned District Nursing teams. You will work alongside District Nurses, registered Community Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists. You must be flexible, caring, and professional and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Community Band 4 Nurses are an integral part of the District Nursing team, providing quality nursing care to patients in the community. The role involves unsupervised delegated nursing duties as defined by the caseload holder, and developing and maintaining effective communication with other professionals and agencies.

The Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner will work within their scope of practice as governed by the NMC Code (2018) and NMC Standards of Proficiency (2018). They will provide holistic and person-centred care and support for people in their care. They may participate in audits and service improvement initiatives and will supervise and support HCAs, Trainee Nursing Associates and Pre-registration nurses. The role is expected to develop further with additional skills based on NMC guidelines and the evolution of the Nursing Associate role.


Responsibilities

* Undertake unsupervised delegated nursing duties as defined by the caseload holder.
* Develop and maintain effective channels of communication with other professionals and agencies.
* Supervise and support HCAs, Trainee Nursing Associates and Pre-registration nurses.
* Participate in audits and service improvement initiatives where appropriate.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Proficient and competent to work within the NMC Code (2018) and NMC Standards of Proficiency (2018).
* Enthusiastic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality community care.
* Ability to work flexibly as part of the District Nursing team.
