The Public Health Analyst will be responsible for producing a range of reports for the Public Health team. Support the team in the preparation of statistics, charts, reports, etc., and actively disseminate findings to a wide audience. They will play a key role in turning data into intelligence and providing input and advice to support understanding of public health data and dissemination of intelligence findings.
This role will involve:
1. Undertaking data analysis: Interpret and report on results, ensuring data is clearly, appropriately, and accurately presented, with data quality considerations and assumptions noted.
2. Understanding data sources: Knowledge of sources relevant to public health, epidemiology, and statistics, keeping up-to-date with the availability and quality of national and local datasets and statistics.
3. Product development: Contribute to the development of products and services offered by the Croydon Public Health Intelligence Team.
4. Technical skills: Expert user of Excel and experienced in report development using Microsoft Power BI.
5. Project management: Skills in project management and business analysis, delivering projects within agreed timescales and managing own work programme.
6. Innovation: Develop new and innovative reports to facilitate easy access to data.
