This is a 12 month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and deputise for the EHSQ Manager during absences.
* Ensure compliance with all site certifications.
* Support and maintain high‑level food safety awareness alongside the EHSQ Manager.
* Promote and drive a robust and sustainable food safety culture.
* Ensure all quality tasks are executed in a timely manner to a high standard.
* Collaborate with counterparts to establish and maintain globally harmonised processes and procedures.
* Support and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
* Manage projects relating to quality and food safety improvements.
* Prepare for site certification audits and take an active role during the audits.
* Provide training for HACCP, Prerequisite Programs, GMP and Allergen Management programmes.
* Lead the HACCP/Food Safety team; participate in risk assessment and coordinate monitoring and verification activities.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for internal and external audit non‑conformances.
* Lead the internal audit programme – schedule audits and ensure non‑conformance follow‑up to closure.
* Carry out scheduled GMP audits.
* Update and improve the site Food Defence plans and programmes in conjunction with global changes.
* Maintain the site Quality System Management (documents, trainings, reporting records and reviews).
* Integrate quality into the Journey.
* Support product incidents, recalls and withdrawals with the EHSQ Manager.
* Act as proactive owner of Element16 in the J2EE.
* Direct contact with local health authorities, veterinary departments to resolve issues.
* Liaise with Ecolab and pest control to arrange site inspections and follow up on recommendations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree and at least 5years of quality experience in the food industry.
* Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
* Robust understanding of food industry legislation, HACCP, Food Safety, Allergen Management and food defence.
* Advanced standard in Food Safety & HACCP (Level4) or equivalent knowledge/experience.
* Comprehensive knowledge of all GFSI standards and other customer standards.
* Ability to lead and manage change, communicate information concisely, and ensure smooth transition and compliance.
* Ability to provide concise, accurate reports in a timely manner that are easily understood by end users.
* Experience in a FMCG environment.
* Diplomacy, strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Negotiating and project‑management skills.
* Continuous‑improvement mindset and approach.
* Understanding of processes within the food industry.
* Ability to work globally with the quality team, share ideas and implement best practices.
* High personal motivation and desire to make an immediate contribution.
* Self‑starter attitude.
