We are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide short-term cover of classes both in planned and in unexpected, non-timetabled situations.
Experience and/or qualifications in supporting pupils with behavioural or learning needs are also highly desirable.
Candidates must have good literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths), and a HLTA qualification or in the process of completing the qualification.
You will:
* be an effective role model in all aspects of the job, including appearance, interactions, behaviour and maintain high expectations
* consistently act in an approachable and supportive manner towards team members
* conduct interventions to support both learning and pastoral need
* liaise with families and other agencies to provide appropriate support
* collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to effectively address the needs of children
* demonstrate initiative and communicate effectively with teaching staff, pupils, and parents
* share in the whole school responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils at the school
* work co-operatively with other colleagues, to ensure a high quality of education for all.
