About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Ward Manager to lead a busy adult medical ward within a well-established healthcare provider in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, developing teams, and driving clinical excellence within an inpatient medical setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and operational leadership for the medical ward
* Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care
* Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary nursing team
* Oversee staffing, rota management and workforce planning
* Maintain compliance with CQC, governance and clinical standards
* Drive quality improvement, patient experience and service development
* Work collaboratively with senior management and MDT colleagues
* Manage resources, budgets and ward performance effectively
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse (NMC) with a valid UK PIN
* Proven experience in a senior nursing role (Ward Manager / Deputy Ward Manager / Charge Nurse / Sister)
* Background in adult medical wards / acute medicine / general medicine
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Experience in managing teams, performance and clinical governance
* Patient-focused, quality-driven leadership style
