The Role
* To support people to live as independently as possibly.
* Assist with all activities of daily living, including personal care through to complex care.
* Facilitate in and accompany on day trips and in fun activities.
* Assist with the preparation of meals and or other food and drink.
* Sitting and companionship services.
* Assist out in the community such as taking service users to essential appointments and assist with everyday activities such as shopping or medication collections.
* Undertake light housework tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, washing, ironing, and dusting.
* Maintain clear and accurate records.
* Ensure health, safety and well-being of the service users and themselves.
* Maintain regular and courteous contact with the branch manager.
The Requirements
* Reliable with an excellent work ethic.
* Provide the highest standards of care and support.
* Respect the individuality and confidentiality of the service users.
* Respect the service user’s independence and authority, be mindful of their wishes and to always treat them with fairness and courtesy.
* Ensure and adhere to strict standards of health and safety thereby ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the service users and themselves at all times.
* Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
* Have a valid driving licence, own transport with business insurance
Desired Skills
* Previous experience is advantageous, however not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
* Excellent communications skills – good standard of spoken and written English.
