We require a Personal Assistant/Carer for a 35‑year‑old man who sustained a brain injury at the age of 2 which has left him with learning difficulties and epilepsy, but he is fully physically able and enjoys swimming, gym, football, snooker, PlayStation games, watching DVDs, shopping and going for coffee.
Duties will include: managing seizure activity, supporting his social skills when out, assisting with IT and PlayStation knowledge, and helping him find and engage in social activities and outlets to add to his current ones.
You are welcome to involve him in some of your own family or social activities if you wish.
This is not a standard carer’s role; if you are enthusiastic, inventive, have a good sense of humour and a caring, patient nature, you can expect great job satisfaction making a difference to this man’s life.

Hours are flexible part‑time from as little as 4 to as many as 25 per week.
Car driver with a valid driving licence is desirable; applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check prior to starting the position, which the employer will pay for.
