Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Ashton 24 Hour. Ashton has historically been a leader in practising minimally invasive surgical techniques. We would be interested in hearing from candidates who would like to be part of a highly motivated team with clinical freedom to develop their own interests and provide a very high standard of care to pets in the Manchester area. The clinic features a large prep area, imaging suite, and bespoke dog and cat wards with a separate isolation area. The site is supported by its own experienced OOH team who work closely with the day team to ensure good handover and excellent patient care. This role is 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1 in 6 full weekends; flexible working and part-time hours (including school hours) can be discussed.

In This Role You Will
* Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
* Provide exceptional care to clients, giving clear updates on patients.
* Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor and develop the team, enhancing skills and utilising them effectively.
* Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Proactively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills And Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
* Experience working effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrable clinical leadership skills.
* Experience implementing a progressive clinical culture.
* Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, with understanding of contributions to clinic performance and efficiency.
* Experience using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of colleagues.
