Head of Strategic Projects - 12 months FTC
About the role
We are looking to hire a Head of Strategic Projects - 12 months FTC role, reporting into the UKI Chief of Staff, to help drive forward some of our most important strategic initiatives across the business. This is a highly cross-functional role that will involve close collaboration with our strategy team, members of our Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders across Flutter UKI. The role will help Flutter UKI to navigate complex challenges and require excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities.
You will:
1. Lead and shape key strategic projects for Flutter UKI, as prioritised by our UKI Leadership Team.
2. Develop detailed plans for various high-profile strategic projects spanning different topics including commercial strategy, organisational design and operational excellence.
3. Ensure complex projects land on time and deliver the required benefits, by developing an in-depth understanding of the status quo and the project requirements, which could include people impacts, tax, legal requirements and local regulations.
4. Manage the interdependencies and complexities between business areas, ensuring programme timelines are aligned and providing a single point of leadership
5. Support business teams with complex transformation projects
6. Undertake in-depth analysis and research as required to inform business decisions and maximise the likelihood of success of strategic projects.
7. Proactively identify risks to successful project delivery and develop plans and solutions to ensure project success.
8. Organise and run high-impact internal and external meetings for the UKI Leadership Team and other key stakeholders.
9. Develop strategic content, including presentations and communications for the UKI Leadership Team, Flutter Exco and other key stakeholders.
10. Manage and work with stakeholders across the business to ensure the success of strategic projects.
Who you are:
11. 4+ years of experience at a top-tier consultancy, followed by 4+ years in operational or strategic roles.
12. Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects in dynamic environments.
13. Strong experience in commercial and business strategy development.
14. Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
15. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
16. Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management abilities.
17. Highly attentive, proactive, and detail oriented.
