Are you an experienced Building Control professional with a passion for ensuring safety and compliance in high-rise and complex developments?
We're working with a government department to find a Registered Building Inspector (3H RBI) with at least six years' experience in building control. This role involves managing proposals, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and related legislation.
Key Responsibilities Manage building proposals and issue decisions within statutory timeframes
Advise on regulations including the London Building Act and entertainment licensing
Review and approve notices submitted by approved inspectors
Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate records
Investigate complaints and breaches, preparing evidence for legal proceedings
Build strong relationships with builders, contractors, and architects
Promote compliance and resolve issues without formal enforcement where possible
What We're Looking For 3H RBI status with 6+ years of building control experience
Associate membership of CABE, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent
Strong understanding of Building Control operations and procedures
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Awareness of Health & Safety procedures and compliance
