Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant in Crewe. This full-time role starts in September and continues for a full academic year.
The school has a positive staff team dedicated to providing children with an inspiring and broad educational experience. Children are encouraged to be independent learners through a variety of learning and play opportunities. The successful candidate will support a child with additional needs, potentially including autism, although undiagnosed due to the child's age. The role involves working with groups and individuals on learning, play, and craft activities, contributing to classroom management, resource creation, assessments, and behavior management.
This role will involve:
* Providing targeted support and interventions across the curriculum
* Leading activity groups in core subjects such as Phonics, Reading, Maths, and Writing
* Supporting individual learning and development activities
* Preparing resources and classroom areas
* Conducting assessments and maintaining records
* Assisting with daily routines for children
* Engaging children in learning and play activities indoors and outdoors

* Hours – Full-time, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm daily
Experience, training, and qualifications:
* Previous experience in a UK primary school setting
* Supporting in Early Years, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Minimum Level 2), Education Studies Degree, Psychology Degree, or similar qualifications
* Recent Safeguarding and Prevent training (within the last 12 months); free online Safeguarding training is available through Prospero if needed

* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to obtain one at your own cost
* Two professional references covering the past 2 years
