Overview

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to varying abilities and learning styles, while fostering independence and personal growth. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies that address students' academic, social, and emotional needs. Additionally, you will utilise effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive learning experiences and ensure the well-being of all students. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as you navigate the dynamic nature of working with students with SEN, adjusting teaching methods and approaches as necessary to meet evolving needs.


Responsibilities

* Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to varying abilities and learning styles.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
* Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive learning experiences and student well-being.
* Adapt teaching methods to meet evolving needs and maintain flexibility in a dynamic SEN setting.


Qualifications

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching students with SEN
* Passion for working with individuals with diverse learning needs and commitment to their development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders
* Excellent organisational and planning skills with ability to differentiate lessons
* Proactive, collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team
