Engineering Manager – Shiplift Safety
Join our Design Authority (DA) team as
Engineering Manager
overseeing the
Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP)
. You'll lead safety case production, manage engineering workstreams, and ensure safe delivery of Ship lift programmes through to end-of-life.
What You'll Do:
* Lead the
Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP)
* Manage engineering inputs across all Ship lift programmes
* Guide Safety Case & Design Engineers
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the project lifecycle
* Promote safety, compliance, and best practices
* Strong engineering leadership in

environments

Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
* Degree in Engineering or a related field
* Chartered Engineer (or working towards it with solid CPD)
* Strong knowledge of
nuclear regulatory compliance
Desirable Experience
* In-depth knowledge of
Design Authority (DA)
roles & nuclear safety cases
* Project engineering & site integration
* Technical assurance and compliance with industry legislation
* Authoring technical reports, specs, and queries
* Experience in regulated environments
* Stakeholder engagement across disciplines
* Basic H&S training for site work
* Mentoring and supervising engineers
* Organised, detail-oriented, with top-tier written & verbal communication

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national, Hybrid working from home/Assystem Office
