A popular primary school in Bedford is seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to lead Early Years practice from January 2026. The Reception Teacher will design play-rich provision that develops communication, early literacy and mathematical curiosity, use high-quality observation to plan next steps and lead effective transition into Year 1. Responsibilities Plan and deliver play-based, evidence-informed Reception curriculum that promotes language and early number. Support and develop TAs, maintain learning journals and ensure the environment is safe and stimulating. Contribute to whole-school EYFS priorities and staff development. Person specification Qualified teacher with strong Reception/EYFS experience and confident assessment practice. Creative, organised and skilled at building partnerships with families and colleagues in Bedford. Enthusiastic about early years pedagogy and available to start January 2026.
