We're looking for a dedicated and physically fit Grounds Maintenance & Bulk Collection Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our estates and neighbourhoods through high-quality grounds maintenance and bulk clearance services. You'll need to be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and capable of undertaking physically demanding tasks, including manual heavy lifting you will be assigned to work across our estates in Bracknell or Reading. To be successful in this role you will need to have a full clean UK driving license What you'll be doing Carry out a range of tasks required for grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, weeding, dead heading, hoeing, planting, pruning, cutting, and watering communal beds. Cut and maintain lawns and grass areas to a variety of finishes (fine to rough meadow type) using a variety of machines, including pedestrian operated, tractors & ride-on mowers, strimmer's, and brush cutters, and including fertilizer and pesticide application. Use and operate a variety of tools, machinery, and equipment, in accordance with Group and manufacturers guidelines, in order to fulfil duties. Plan and execute small scale landscaping operations, as directed, to enhance the appearance of our communal grounds. What you'll need Experience of undertaking ground maintenance duties Have previously undertaken bulk, clearance duties. Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety considerations as they apply to this role. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with residents, external agencies, and resident organisations. Work under your own initiative, with the team and under instruction. Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own time. A valid UK Driving Licence with category C1 and the ability to drive company vehicles as and when required.
