About the role
We are looking for individuals who can create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting children during those crucial early years of development. This full-time opportunity is due to begin in September 2026, although there are also opportunities available before this date for the right candidates.
The Role
1. Supporting children within EYFS classrooms across a range of primary school settings
2. Assisting with delivering engaging learning activities
3. Encouraging social, emotional and educational development
4. Working alongside teachers to support individual and group learning
5. Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
The School
Based in the popular Lawley area of Telford, this welcoming primary school recently received a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and has a strong community feel. The school is a one-form entry primary school with a two-form entry EYFS provision, offering a supportive and collaborative environment where staff work together to provide an engaging and nurturing learning experience for all pupils.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
6. Ideally hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
7. Previous experience working within EYFS settings or primary schools
8. A caring, patient and proactive approach
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
