Contract: Fixed Term until July 2026 (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Hours: 25 hours per week, Term Time Only
Salary: FTE £24,130
Start Date: 3rd September 2025

A friendly and supportive primary school in the Princetown / Tavistock area is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2025.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a small, community-focused setting, supporting children in a mixed-age class. We welcome applications from experienced HLTAs or those ready to take the next step in their career — training can be provided for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with children
* Be calm, patient and approachable
* Work well both independently and as part of a team
* Be reliable, flexible, and adaptable to the needs of the school
* Confidently support and lead groups of children
* Assist the teacher in delivering learning across a mixed-age class
Job shares will be considered.
HLTA training can be offered to candidates with relevant experience and potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
