Trainer & Assessor (Home Heating Systems)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Trainer / Assessor to join our Training team at Grant Engineering. The Trainer / Assessor will be responsible for delivering technical training to domestic heating and renewables installers and service technicians. The training will cover the full range of Grant Engineering heating products as well as OFTEC Oil and heat pumps and ERS Unvented and water regs qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Delivering comprehensive technical training sessions on heating products to include oil boilers, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar thermal systems and hot water cylinders
* Providing both classroom based and practical hands-on product training at Grant UK’s training facilities, both at the Grant UK Training academy, Swindon and at other remote sites throughout UK and Channel Islands
* Conducting training and assessment of candidates for OFTEC Oil and Heat Pump qualifications and ERS Unvented and Water Regs qualifications
* Providing product training for Grant UK employees on Grant heating products
* Maintaining a personal CPD log, reflecting how learning applies to training content
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience in the design and installation of domestic heating and hot water systems
* In-depth knowledge of oil-fired heating systems, preferably with OFTEC qualification
* Experience of renewable heating technologies, including ASHPs and Solar Thermal
* Experience in delivering technical training
* Experience in conducting both written and practical assessments, and possession of an A1 Assessors aware (or equivalent) would be beneficial
* Sound understanding of current heating and hot water legislation and regulations
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable approach to working as part of a busy training team
