Responsible for Employment Tax business development in Yorkshire & the North-East of England ("YNE") and client pursuit efforts through involvement in preparing proposals and delivering presentations to potential clients.
Support and development of junior members of the team and help grow the Employment Tax business at EY in YNE.
Deliver employment tax compliance and advice to clients across various industry sectors.
Stay updated with key technical and functional skills, industry, business, and leadership knowledge, sharing this expertise with others.
Manage the delivery of technically complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.
Build and maintain client confidence, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
Recognize and manage potential issues during client assignments effectively.
Structure and oversee projects or programmes that meet or exceed client expectations while mitigating risks.
About you
* Experience in employment tax from consultancy, legal firms, or large global corporations.
* Strong personal impact, resilience, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Technical understanding of employment tax issues such as Expenses and Benefits, Employment Status, Payroll, Construction Industry Scheme, Termination Payments, National Minimum Wage, HMRC dealings, SAO and CCO, and equity plans.
* Proven business development skills and a track record in project management and delivery.
* Change-oriented with a flexible approach.
* Professional credibility, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex issues.
* Focus on achieving project goals with high-quality deliverables.
* Ability to delegate and facilitate team collaboration, motivate teams, and provide constructive feedback.
* Qualifications such as ATT and/or CTA are preferred.
