We are seeking a reliable and proactive Mobile Support Engineer to support our service engineering teams by managing the efficient distribution, replenishment, and recovery of stock. Operating from a fully equipped van with rolling stock replenishment, you will ensure timely delivery of parts to enable seamless service delivery, while also handling waste collection and emergency responses. This role requires a flexible, hands-on approach to support warehouse operations across the UK, Ireland, and EU.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Distribution: Transport and distribute stock from the Lenham Tech Hub to Maidenhead and Huddersfield depots, ensuring accurate and secure delivery
Engineering Team Support: Collect and deliver stock to engineering teams in a timely manner to maintain efficient service delivery and minimise downtime
Waste and Battery Recovery: Collect waste materials and batteries from sites and return them to local depots for proper recovery and disposal
Vehicle Stock Management: Maintain a predetermined level of rolling stock in the van to serve as on-demand replenishment for the engineering team
Emergency Response: Provide fast-response delivery of parts to sites at short notice to support emergency callouts and urgent service needs
Mobile Hose Support: Assemble and manufacture hydraulic hoses on-site in accordance with engineer requests (full training will be provided)
Warehouse Support: Assist the Warehouse Manager in the maintenance and stock handling activities across all UK, Ireland, and EU warehouses as required
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Valid UK driving licence (Category B or equivalent) with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a van driver, preferably in logistics, distribution, or field service support
Basic knowledge of stock handling, inventory management, and health & safety procedures for transporting goods
Personal Attributes:
Physically fit and healthy, with the ability to lift and handle stock (up to 25kg) regularly
Flexible and prepared to travel at short notice, including some weekend and out-of-hours work
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset to support engineering teams effectively
Excellent time management to meet tight deadlines for deliveries and emergency responses
Additional Information:
Work Pattern: Full-time, mobile role with potential for overtime during peak periods or emergencies. Some weekend availability required.
