Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Medical Receptionist to join our successful Patient Care Advisory Team. This role is 25 hours per week; overtime is available based on business requirements. Shift Patterns are: 8am - 1pm, 1pm - 6pm, 3pm - 8pm. Duties will include meeting/greeting patients, receiving telephone calls, maintaining and updating confidential records via computerised systems and general administrative work associated with General Practice.
Responsibilities
* Running an effective and efficient reception service
* Dealing with all general enquiries
* Receive and make telephone calls as required and take messages
* Action repeat prescription requests promptly
* Registering patients on the online system
* Dealing with the day to day running of the computer system and entering patient information onto the computer
* Opening mail and ensuring that all correspondence is scanned and attached to patients computer records
* Making sure the reception area is left tidy
* Registering new patients promptly and accurately
Additional Details
* Staff are expected to work across all four AMP Group sites, where possible. Immediate starts are available.
* Previous reception experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
* The ideal candidate would be proactive, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy working with patients. The role requires being a team player and flexibility in times of sickness and holidays.
* The successful applicant must be IT literate and be willing to undertake relevant training to improve their skills.
* The organisation is run by a board including the Medical Director and a Senior Leadership Team. The Receptionist role is to work within a team carrying out administrative functions and working in the telephone hub.
