Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commodity Manager-Direct, based in Derby. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships and performance, leading contract negotiations, evaluating suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, and sourcing materials to support production. The Commodity Manager will also analyze market trends and data to develop procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, while driving cost optimization and ensuring a stable supply chain for direct commodities.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Management to oversee and assess performance and ensure alignment with company standards
* Strong skills in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms and foster long-term supplier partnerships
* Experience in Purchasing and strategic sourcing to meet business requirements efficiently
* Developed Analytical Skills to assess market data, evaluate supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage complex supply chains and stakeholder relationships
* Proven experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is an advantage
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
