The School: Learning Support Assistant - Teaching Assistant - SEN - Bath
This is the perfect opportunity for a psychology graduate that is interested in working with neurodiverse children and young people.
The school is based in Bath and provides support for secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of learning and behavioural needs. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The needs of the students are considered to be mild compared with other special schools in the area.
The school provides a unique, specialist environment that closely fits the needs and challenges that the students face. The school offers a therapeutic curriculum that offers all the subjects that a secondary aged student should expect. Some of the students will go on to achieve GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications, so at this stage of their education, it is vitally important that they establish sound understanding of key subjects such as maths and English. Your job will be to support this journey to help them access further education or training.

* Collaborate with therapists and counsellors to support pupil wellbeing and learning goals.
