General Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Lancaster)
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 08:30-15:30 - Start Date Monday 23rd February 2026 until at least July 2026
Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their learning journey? A welcoming primary school in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to provide whole‑school support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
This role is ideal for:
Teacher or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain more classroom experience
Teaching Assistants who want to broaden their skills across the primary phase
What We're Looking For
A minimum of a Level 2 TA qualification (or above)
Enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A flexible approach, as you may work across different year groups
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Your Role
Providing learning support across the whole school
Assisting class teachers with classroom activities and preparation
Supporting pupils with varying needs to help them reach their potential
Helping maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Contributing to the wider school community and ethos
Hours & Contract
09:00-15:30, Monday to Friday
Term‑time only
Long‑term and immediate start available (depending on the school's needs)
