Overview
Occupational Therapists are required to work within an Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team. The role includes assessment, intervention and discharge planning for patients with acute neurological and musculoskeletal needs in a fast‑paced setting. Full‑time and part‑time positions are available.
Responsibilities
* Deliver OT assessment and treatment to patients during their acute hospital stay.
* Provide clinical and professional leadership within the therapy team.
* Collaborate with physiotherapists, therapy technicians and other MDT members to support safe, timely patient discharges.
* Offer specialist rehabilitation expertise for complex trauma and neurological cases.
* Support career development for junior staff and contribute to service improvement.
Qualifications
* Registered Occupational Therapist with relevant clinical experience.
* Evidence of ambition or clear career progression goals.
* Experience at Band 6 or Band 7 level preferred; applicants at Band 6 with development plans are welcome.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
