Mencap is seeking compassionate Female Support Workers to join our team in Retford. This is a Part Time Waking Support Worker role.
As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support as part of a diverse team.
Responsibilities
* Provide waking support to individuals with learning disabilities, including night shifts (e.g., waking nights 21:00 – 07:00).
* Assist with daily activities and promote independence and inclusion.
* Offer emotional support and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a supportive environment.
What we’re looking for
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* A driver is preferred but not essential.
Note: Due to the nature of this service we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
