Company Description Headway Suffolk and Norfolk is a registered charity dedicated to supporting adults with brain injuries, strokes, and neurological conditions through comprehensive rehabilitation, recovery, care, and support services. Recognized for excellence, the organization has been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission in 2022. This position is working in our neuro hubs situated in Ipswich. We are also looking for support workers to work in home care in Suffolk mainly Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds. Role Description This is an on-site, full-time position based in Suffolk for a Support Worker. The Support Worker will deliver direct care and assistance to individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions, helping them with daily activities and promoting their independence. Responsibilities include ensuring client safety, supporting rehabilitation programs, assisting with personal care, and maintaining accurate records of client progress. The role also involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and maintaining compliance with safeguarding measures. Qualifications Experience in support work or a similar caregiving role Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices Basic technical proficiency for maintaining records and utilizing care systems Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to a variety of client needs Relevant qualifications or training in health and social care is a plus Access to reliable transportation within Suffolk is advantageous
