Turning Point Scotland's Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Crisis Service offers integrated health and social care, providing low threshold, direct access services for individuals experiencing a crisis due to alcohol or drug use, including those facing homelessness. Services include a crisis residential unit, 24-hour injecting equipment provision (needle exchange), wound care, harm reduction advice, signposting, and naloxone training and provision.
Our residential facilities require regular maintenance to ensure safety and comfort. We seek a confident individual capable of addressing minor issues promptly, focusing on basic electrical repairs (fuses, plug malfunctions, bulb replacements), overseeing external contractors, and performing basic joinery tasks (window and door repairs). Routine decoration duties, such as applying emulsion and gloss finishes internally, will also be part of your role.
The role is mainly Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility around start and end times for the right candidate.
