Job Responsibilities
* Provide a clinical psychology service to patients with moderate to severe mental health problems within the prison mental health pathway.
* Work with clients individually or jointly with others, depending on risk assessment.
* Provide expert psychological assessment, formulation and therapy to a range of mental health problems.
* Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals and groups; refine formulations drawing on different explanatory models; maintain provisional hypotheses.

Job Description and Person Specification
Job responsibilities (summary):
* Provide a clinical psychology service to patients with moderate to severe mental health problems within the prison pathway.
* Work with clients alone or with others as per risk assessment.
* Provide expert assessment, formulation and therapy to a wide range of mental health problems.
* Deliver psychological interventions for individuals and groups and maintain multiple provisional hypotheses.
Essential qualifications and experience:
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, accredited by the BPS (including psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, two or more therapies, lifespan development).
* Post-doctoral training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice or therapy.
* HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist.
* Substantial experience as a qualified practitioner psychologist at a highly specialist level.
Desirable:
* Membership of the British Psychological Society or Association of Clinical Psychologists.
* Formal training in supervision of other psychologists.
* Accreditation with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist.
