This is a Hybrid role working from our Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or London offices.
As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will lead the charge in creating exceptional user experiences while maintaining a solid grasp of the full application lifecycle. We are looking for a specialist who is passionate about frontend architecture, accessibility, and high-performance UI, but remains comfortable navigating and contributing to the backend.
You won’t just be building interfaces; you’ll be a key contributor to the technical direction of your workstream, ensuring our codebase is modular, scalable, and secure. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor others, define technical requirements, and bridge the gap between complex business logic and intuitive user design.
Key aspects of the role include:
* Full Stack Delivery: Designing and delivering sophisticated, responsive, and accessible frontend architectures and building out the necessary backend APIs and services to support seamless frontend functionality.
* Driving Quality: Enforcing high technical standards through peer reviews and guiding the team’s testing strategy (with a focus on UI, unit, and integration testing).
* User-Centric Standards: Ensuring all features meet the highest standards for performance, security, and web accessibility (WCAG).
* Workstream Ownership: Acting as the point person for feature delivery, ensuring the UI is polished and the integration with the backend is robust.
* Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior colleagues in craft and process, run knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to the technical body of knowledge.
* Technical Communication and Representation: Confidently present technical demos to clients, explain complex trade-offs in plain language, and represent the company externally (e.g., meetups, recruitment).

* Front-End Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in modern front-end languages and frameworks, including React, Vue, and/or Umbraco. You should be deeply familiar with state management, component lifecycles, and modern CSS practices.
* Backend Knowledge: Solid experience contributing to backend systems and APIs (ideally using .NET and C#.)
* Web Standards Expert: A track record of improving application performance and a deep commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
* Security-First Mindset: Deep practical knowledge of application security and defensive coding principles.
* Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to define clear technical requirements by translating complex business needs, combined with a focus on mentoring colleagues and improving application performance.
