About the Role
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, attendance, or emotional wellbeing. You will build strong relationships with pupils, acting as a consistent and positive presence throughout the school day.
Your role may involve supporting students during lessons, working in a pastoral or inclusion unit, and delivering targeted interventions to help students re-engage with education.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
* Working one-to-one or in small groups to address barriers to learning
* Promoting positive behaviour and supporting de-escalation when required
* Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and engagement
* Liaising with teachers, pastoral leads, and external agencies
* Acting as a role model and providing consistent support throughout the school day
