About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate power tools and equipment for cutting and maintenance work according to contract requirements.
* Ensure work specifications and method statements are fully compiled and followed.
* Complete site and employment documentation, including risk assessments.
* Follow operational procedures, safe working methods, and environmental practices.
* Maintain plant, work equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
* Organize sites to ensure work is carried out to standard with minimal risk, efficiently, and according to procedures.
* Liaise with management regarding work methods and specifications.
* Remain polite and courteous at all times.
* Maintain relevant competencies and personal development under the supervision of your line manager.
* Complete work according to the work program and quality standards.
* Adhere to working times and implement audit close-out actions.
* Deliver operations within budget and time scales, reporting progress regularly.
Key Hiring Criteria
* Hold CS30, 31, Chipper, First Aid, and ideally CS32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 45, UA 1, 2.1, 5, PA1, PA6AW, B+E qualifications.
* Have Risk Assessment and Environmental Risk Assessment training.
* As the lead of a maintenance team, undertake vegetation management and other operations on the National Grid Vegetation Management Contract, ensuring safety and high standards.
