Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations within a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the long-term strategic development of manufacturing processes.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, the Manufacturing Manager will ensure production performance, compliance with aerospace standards, and alignment with the organisation's long-term operational goals.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Operations
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are consistently achieved.
Manage production teams and supervisors to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
Promote a culture of lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's long-term manufacturing strategy.
Support capital investment planning, equipment upgrades, and technology adoption to improve capability and capacity.
Monitor industry trends and best practices within aerospace manufacturing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Participate in weekly operational meetings with Quality and Operations teams to review production performance, quality metrics, and improvement actions.
Liaise closely with Quality to ensure product compliance and address any manufacturing-related quality issues.
Work collaboratively with engineering and supply chain teams to support new product introduction and process improvements.
Performance & Leadership
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, safety, and delivery.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for manufacturing personnel.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies across manufacturing operations.
Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing management role within aerospace or precision engineering .
Strong understanding of aerospace quality and regulatory standards.
Experience implementing continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives .
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational performance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Experience in production planning, resource management, and performance monitoring.
