HGV Class 1 Driver – Days
Location: London Gateway
Rate: £18.00 per hour + + Competitive overtime rates
Shift: 7:00am start, approx. 10-hour shifts
Induction: 2-day paid induction

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for day shifts at a busy container transport operation based in London Gateway. This is a great opportunity for drivers seeking regular work with competitive pay.
What’s on offer:
1. £18.00 per hour, paid weekly
2. 7:00am starts, 10-hour shifts
3. Monday to Friday schedule
4. Container transport
5. 2-day paid induction provided
Duties include:
6. Transporting shipping containers
7. Coupling and decoupling trailers safely and correctly
8. Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting defects
9. Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
10. Accurate completion of paperwork and use of on-board systems
11. Communicating effectively with the transport office
12. Adhering to all driver hours and WTD regulations
Requirements:
13. Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
14. Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card
15. Experience in container work preferred
16. ADR licence advantageous but not essential
17. Good knowledge of driver regulations
