Location: Wales Duration: 3-month project Contract Role We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to support a major power station shutdown project in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering team on a high-profile outage, working on critical rotating equipment and heavy mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities * Mechanical maintenance, repair and overhaul of rotating equipment * Strip-down, inspection and reassembly of turbines, pumps, compressors and associated machinery * Installation, alignment and testing of mechanical components * Working to shutdown schedules and safety protocols * Contributing to a safe and efficient turnaround environment * Supporting supervisors and engineers with daily shutdown activities ✔️ Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter * Background working on rotating equipment (turbines, pumps, compressors, generators etc.) * Prior experience on power station outages or industrial shutdowns * Strong mechanical competency and ability to read technical drawings * Full adherence to site safety standards and shutdown procedures * Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
