Job Overview
As a member of the Communications Team, the post holder will undertake a variety of roles related to NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership’s (NWSSP) communications channels and work with colleagues from across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
* Monitor and update NWSSP’s social media channels, capturing news from across NWSSP divisions and developing ideas for content and social media campaigns.
* Compile, write and edit content for the organisation’s internet and intranet pages, using own judgement to ensure that they provide clear, relevant and accurate information for both staff and customers; manage and amend webpage hierarchy where necessary.
* Manage the production of brochures, reports, newsletters, leaflets, posters and other corporate documents for NWSSP. Use own skills and judgement to write and edit copy, ensuring documents are appropriate for purpose and audience.
* Deliver communications training to less experienced employees at NWSSP, ensuring that any resources used are appropriate and up to date.
* Work with the Communications Manager and the Digital Communications Manager to produce video and photographic material to promote services and their work.
* Provide communications support at events, either alone or with Communications Team colleagues.
* Ensure sensitive information is handled correctly and not distributed to inappropriate audiences; ensure that public-facing content is suitable for publishing using own judgement and knowledge of work across the organisation.

Qualifications And Knowledge
* Educated to NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent level of qualification or significant previous proven experience in a communications-related role.
* Certification in use of Adobe software.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience
* Experience of using design software such as the Adobe Suite.
* Experience of using a content management system to create and edit web content.
* Experience of using social media in a professional capacity.
* Experience working in a marketing or communications role.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to liaise and communicate with both internal and external personnel both verbally and written
* Excellent copy writing and proofreading skills, the ability to write and edit content for a variety of audiences and a keen eye for detail.
* Advanced IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
* Professional telephone manner.

Welsh language skills are desirable. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
