Apprenticeship Duration The duration of our apprenticeships varies between 18 and 42 months, depending on the standard being followed, with additional time allocated for the End-Point Assessment (EPA) Where will I train? Depending on the specific vacancy you apply for you could be based in one of our Gen2 Skills Centres for the first part of your apprenticeship or work with an employer from day one and attend Gen2 training sessions one day per week at one of our centres in: Workington Carlisle Furness Plus, a Gen2 assessor will visit your workplace to check your progress and support your development. If improvements are needed, we’ll set your application back to ‘pending’ and email you with helpful tips to strengthen it — don’t worry, this is part of the process and helps you make the best possible impression. Once you have made amendments as advised, send it back to us for a further check. Selection Process Once your application is processed and ready for employers, keep an eye on your email inbox— you’ll be among the first to be notified about new apprenticeship opportunities. They’ll review it and decide who to invite to the next stage of their hiring process. Qualifications Each employer will set their own minimum criteria in line with the requirements for the apprenticeship standard. Generally, most will be looking for candidates to have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (Grade C) in Maths and English.
