This advertisement is for 2 positions at Canolfan Rheidol in Aberystwyth and 5 positions at the Ceredigion Independent Living Centre in Felinfach. Please state in your application whether you are applying for a role in Aberystwyth, Felinfach or both.
We are looking to recruit 7 Care and Support Workers to join our Targeted Care and Enablement Services Team.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals to regain their skills and independence following acute illness or injury.
* Assist with activities of daily living such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and medication in clients’ own homes.
* Work on a rolling rota with split shifts (4 days on, 4 days off) with hours from 7:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00 daily.
* Support is provided within an Occupational Therapist–led framework, with client-centered goals to maximise independence.
* Cover long-term bridging while waiting to source a package, expanding skills and knowledge as required.
* Manage workload through an electronic call monitoring system and adhere to scheduled visits.
Requirements
* Full driving license, car and the ability to travel within the County.
* All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) for Health and Social Care to be completed within the first six months of employment.
* Level 2 QCF in health and social care or equivalent (to hold or achieve within a reasonable timescale).
* Basic conversational Welsh; reasonable support available on appointment to reach this level.
