Job Description
Safe Haven Talent is recruiting on behalf of a premium home care provider launching in the Reading area. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and compassionate leader to become the Registered Manager and help establish a new, high-quality care service delivering exceptional support to adults in their own homes.
This is a role where premium care meets genuine purpose — longer visit times, personalised care, and a positive, person-centred culture make this an incredibly rewarding environment for both clients and staff.
If you’ve worked as a Deputy Manager, Coordinator, Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance Lead, or Registered Manager, and are looking for your next step in a supportive, forward-thinking care organisation, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the home care service, ensuring the highest standards of care and full compliance with CQC regulations.
* Oversee the safe delivery of personalised, high-quality support to clients, focused on maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life.
* Manage recruitment, supervision, and professional development of care staff, ensuring a motivated, positive, and person-centred culture.
* Implement and monitor effective care planning and review systems, using digital tools for real-time service oversight.
* Promote a “quality over quantity” ethos — with minimum 50-minute visits and meaningful engagement between carers and clients.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
* Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring service continuity and safety at all times.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive, resilient leader who thrives in an environment built on trust, care, and excellence.
Requirements
Essential:
* A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a care management, coordination, or supervisory role.
* Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
* A caring, positive attitude with a passion for delivering person-centred care.
* Ability to remain calm, proactive, and solution-focused when faced with challenges.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
* Right to work in the UK.
Compliance Requirements:
All applicants must:
1. Complete the short online assessment on the application page — this is a mandatory part of the recruitment process.
2. Sign and return a Safeguarding Declaration and Consent Form confirming that you have no outstanding safeguarding cases with CQC, Ofsted, or LADO. This document will be emailed to you and must be completed, signed, and returned before progressing.
✅ Note: Fully compliant candidates who complete the assessment and return the declaration early will be prioritised for fast-track review.
Benefits
* Competitive salary of £38,000 – £42,000 per annum.
* Supportive management and 24/7 operational guidance.
* Generous pension scheme.
* Paid annual leave with buy/sell options.
* Positive, team-focused culture where staff wellbeing is a priority.
* Longer visit times (minimum 50 minutes) – better care, less pressure, happier staff.
* Opportunities for progression within a growing regional network.
* Company events, parking on site, and employee perks scheme.
* Structured training and development pathways for continuous growth.
