Carbon60 is seeking a talented Tool Development Engineer to join their client's team in Broughton. If you have a passion for manufacturing, engineering, and supporting the ramp-up of production, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Tool Development Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting projects. This involves creating, developing, and modifying these assets until final acceptance and handover to the Operations Team. You will also collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and align with the company's Industrial Vision.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing and specifying Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
2. Contributing to CDT MFT for production investigations using your tooling and metrology skills.
3. Defining certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules for Jigs and Tools.
4. Producing Technical Assessments and Acceptance Reports for Jigs and Tools.
5. Delivering design and manufacturing data sets for Jigs and Tools assets.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and make daily business decisions.
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
* Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
* Understanding of interactions across Manufacturing Engineering and other Business functions.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Self-motivation and leadership qualities.
