Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities of living, and fostering a supportive environment for our individuals. Acknowledge and follow individual care plans.
Duties
* Assist individuals with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities such as supported meal times and an holistic approach to care.
* Ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures whist respecting the needs of the individuals we care for.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising healthcare professional.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, promoting their mental well-being.
* Support individuals to health appointments.
* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Skills
* Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with individuals and team members.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
