Our client is an established accounts practice in Bolton that prides itself on delivering exceptional service to a diverse range of local clients. They are looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Bookkeeper/Semi-Senior Accountant.
About the Role:As Bookkeeper, you’ll play a key role in supporting clients with their day-to-day financial operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports — all while working closely with their accountants and clients.Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients
2. Bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
3. Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC
4. Assisting with payroll processing (if experienced)
5. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and gather information
6. Supporting the team with ad hoc financial tasks
What We’re Looking For:
7. Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (practice experience preferred)
8. Proficiency in accounting software (, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
9. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
10. Excellentmunication and client service skills
11. AAT qualified or working towards (preferred but not essential)
