Role: Senior Art Consultant & Project Manager
Type: Full‑time (5 days/37.5 hrs per week)
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 GBP or €40,000 – €55,000 EUR (dependent on experience) plus performance bonus scheme.

Qualifications

* At least 10 years’ professional experience researching, curating, designing, and managing FF&E and Art for international commercial, hospitality, and private projects (excluding galleries and museums).
* Educated to a minimum of a university degree level in project management and/or architecture, interiors/design, or an art‑related subject.
* Experience managing budgets over £1m.
* Track record of delivering large‑scale and complex international design projects and programmes.
* Knowledge of international shipping, imports/exports, and overseas logistics solutions.
* Team leadership and ability to inspire and manage a team of 5 or more.
* Experience managing suppliers, particularly artists and galleries.
* Proficient with project management software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and AutoCAD.
* Portfolio of design work and curation for projects – concept presentations through to detailed design, specification and documentation, preferably with art elements.
* Passion for modern and contemporary art, with a genuine desire to expand knowledge in this field.


Key Responsibilities

* Research artists and maintain knowledge of contemporary art, craft, design and material processes.
* Lead cutting‑edge art curation and stay ahead of industry developments relevant to our sectors.
* Develop sophisticated, well‑researched and contextually relevant art concept presentations.
* Refine presentations through schematic design mark‑ups on floor plans, elevations and renders.
* Prepare detailed design documents, schedules, specification, procurement details, and supplier information.
* Liaise with suppliers for stock levels, commissioning and sampling.
* Attend project sites to curate pieces and sign off final presentations.
* Support decision making through knowledge of artistic processes, materials and production methods.
* Conduct research into artists, materials and techniques to source suitable suppliers for production, framing and installation.
* Review DD documents and verify artwork specifications pre‑supply.
* Manage artist orders and contracts, oversee commissioning, proactively addressing challenges.
* Troubleshoot technical or aesthetic issues with artworks, collaborating with artists to find solutions.
* Oversee artwork inspections at studio and storage, ensuring quality standards and escalating to Director when necessary.
* Manage project timelines, track progress of artwork orders, provide regular reports to the Director.
* Liaise with clients to provide updates on schedules, sampling, progress and completion.
* Supervise and support project assistants and art technicians.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring delivery within budget – obtain quotes, track payments, present financial summary to the Director.
* Track client payments and liaise with Director to maintain cash flow.
* Coordinate shipping partners for large international shipments – obtain quotes, collate invoices, prepare export documentation.
* Assist clients during delivery, ensuring smooth logistics.
* Develop and maintain relationships with trusted logistics and shipping partners.
* Oversee installation of international projects and coordinate installation teams for on‑site delivery.


General

As a small company, you may also be involved in administrative tasks, client‑facing roles, and travel to key suppliers, clients and project locations.
