Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst About the role: To understand all the critical elements of the Purchasing & Supply Chain Department. Take responsibility of collecting, reviewing, and analysing large amounts of data associated with inventory, spend, suppliers and supply chain, products, services and trends, in order to optimize stock holding amount and reduce costs. Department: Purchasing and Supply Chain Location/Branch: Tamworth Head Office Length of contract: Full Time Permanent Salary: Competitive Main duties Fine-tuning stock policies review product policies regularly e.g. extra buffer stock, MOQ vs sales and etc.; liaise with relevant stakeholders e.g. Sales/Commercial team and supplies for improvements. Pattern/Trend Analysis identify the growing/declining products/product ranges; look at them with Commercial to ascertain the cause. That will allow the business to adjust forecasts, to spot patterns and trends, and to act proactively. Over stocks/slow moving stock and/or on-orders identify excessive stock/on-orders and its causes, work with Commercial/Suppliers to take actions accordingly. Product life cycle management work closely with Commercial to manage the stock phase in and out proactively. New product management review sales vs forecasts; feed the findings back to the business to avoid where possible new products outstripping the initial forecasts; or to take actions about the underperforming new products. EOQ analysis to minimize holding costs and excess inventory. System Data changes/maintenance if required. Costing sheets and price list updating and monitoring if required. Product cost enquiry from other departments. Compile Purchasing and Supply Chain reports monthly, quarterly and annually. Support the whole department and offer cover for all areas if needed. Ad-hoc tasks as and when required. Skills and Experience Demonstrate a solid understanding of supply chain processes and proficiency in data analytical techniques. High attention to details with a high level of accuracy. Good analytic and numeracy skills. Enthusiastic and results focused. Have the ability and confidence to liaise with different stakeholders. ? ? Have the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines. Be resilient and work well under the pressure of the demands of the business and individuals. Proficient at Excel. Business/Supply Chain degree or relevant experience preferred.
